Vehicle & Alternative fuels news

Richard Hammond and some thoughts about recent events.

We all strive to be able to do the things which we love doing, with the experiences that Richard had I suspect this was another box that he was fortunate enough to have the chance to tick.
For us meer mortals with day jobs who have a sports car as an occasional joy. The nurburgring is a box I suspect we would all like to tick, for motorcyclists it would be the TT.
Richard has done all that and more. He had an opportunity to push another envelope, which we all know will involve risk, on another day everything would have been fine and we would all be sat at home watching the episode on Sunday night in our arm chairs thinking - Richard, you lucky beggar.
Clarkson had an opportunity to drive the Veyron at whatever speed he wished, and not a million miles away from the speed the dragster was doing. That could so easily have ended in disaster and on a public road. But we all enjoyed the episode and thought - Clarkson, you lucky beggar.

We all do the things we love even though we know there is some risk, wouldn't life be boring without those things.

Here's to a quick and successful recovery.
